What is a Child Development Associate?
A Child Development Associate (CDA) is an individual who has successfully completed a CDA Credential program. She/he demonstrates the ability to meet the specific developmental needs of children and works with parents and other adults to nurture children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth in an early care and education child setting.
The Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition administers the nationally recognized credentialing program as a major effort to improve the quality of early care and education. The Child Care Resource Network offers the Seminar Instruction, Field Training, and Advisement required to obtain the CDA Credential.
A CDA is an individual who has demonstrated competence in her/his ability to meet the CDA Competency Goals through her/his work in a center-based, or family child care program with children ages birth to five years old.

I wish I could just help people realize how much they can touch a life of a child and provide a caring environment for children. CDA is truly a goal that achieves this.
