Become an Advocate

Child care providers are the voice of children. You’re the ones who work with them day in, and day out; you’re the ones who keep them safe, happy and healthy; you’re the ones who teach them what they need to know to be ready for the world; you are their strongest advocate.

Without the quality, affordable, accessible care you provide children, families and parents wouldn’t make it. They wouldn’t be able to go to work each day, know their child is safe and happy. Without advocates like you, the child care system will fail.

We need your help. We need child care providers on the front lines, letting our government know what we need. We need child care to be affordable; for families to be able to pay you for their services, or to have access to financial help.

What Can You Do?

Tell your story

Have you had children drop out of your program because their parents could no longer afford care? Are there not enough supports in place to allow you to do your job to the best of your ability? We want to hear about it here.

Contact your legislators

Do you think it’s infuriating that child care costs more than college in Erie County? So do we. Let your legislators know exactly how you feel, and why quality, affordable, accessible child care is so important.
