Know Who I Am So You’ll Know What I Need: A Director’s Guide to Child Development
DAL invites you to join early childhood professors Pat Kemp (ECC) and Kate Dust (Buff State) to develop a “leadership lens” for understanding child development. You’ll enrich your understanding of each stage of early childhood development, with focused attention on how to use that knowledge to support the classrooms you supervise. When you understand children, you’re poised to meet their needs.
Wondering if this is the right course for you?
- YES, if you’re new to your management role. You’ll build foundational knowledge and begin to look at children’s developmental stages from a manager’s perspective.
- YES, if you’re a seasoned director. You’ll enjoy a refresher on child development, plus new insight on refining your “leadership lens.”
- YES, if you’ve participated in past Leadership Academy sessions, such as the recent (re)Boot Camp. This is the perfect next step in your professional development journey.
This intensive, which is a component of DAL’s Leadership Academy, meets from 6PM - 830PM at the Child Care Resource Network on Tuesdays, January 16, January 23, and January 30. Please note that registration for all 3 evenings is required
